Also, because this is my blog and I’ll post what I want… xd Below you will find my argument for pro PUSSY POWER!
Off of my FB timeline:
“I wanted to bring this out onto my own timeline, from a rather important discussion being had on my friend’s TL. I think it’s important for as many people as possible to be educated on such “sensitive” matters… So, in case there is one or two of you not on my friend’s TL… allow me to introduce you to the fight for PUSSY.”
“Alli’s Fashionblog: Here’s the thing about the word “pussy”. It isn’t a derogatory term, but rather a substitution for the word many use to describe their VAGINA. It shouldn’t be something that is made into a huge deal until it becomes a point were it is being used to offend someone. For example, “stop being such a fucking pussy!”… used with that connotation, makes sense for it to be “unacceptable”. However, when we start limiting people on what they can and cannot say, we start to broach the fine line of enforcing our own opinions onto others. If you don’t like the word, pussy, then don’t use it. If you are going to start banning the use of words that “MAY” offend someone… where will you draw the line? Shouldn’t the word obese be used instead of “fat”? Shouldn’t the term “lower economic status” be used in place of “poor person”? Do you see where I am going with this? The list of possible words or terminology that someone could find offense in is infinite! I understand there are certain words that most everyone would find offensive, and yes I agree they shouldn’t be said (offensive terms for African Americans and such…), but when we start placing unrealistic expectations upon people, we’ll only set them up to fail. At which point, you begin to marvel at the gall of those making such rules and enforcing them. *end of rant*”
